Chocolate...

Chocolate is one of the most popular sweets in the world…

The word “chocolate” has it’s origin in the language of the Nathuals, the original inhabitants of the middle Mexico. It is made of the seeds of the tropical coco tree Theobroma cacao. The result is known as “chocolate”. This product is well known in many countries as the coco. The chocolate is the combination of the dry basis and the fat. It is usually sweetened by sugar and other substances, and it is proceeded to the chocolate bar, ot to the drink (called coco or the hot chocolate). There are three types of seeds, which are mostly used for the chocolate production. The most values ones are the Criollo seeds, which originated in the former Mayan homeland (Mexico and the Middle America).

Only 10%of the coffee is made of the Criollo seeds, which are less bitter and more fragrantly in comparison to the other seeds. 80% of the chocolate is made of the coco seeds Forastero. The trees Forastero are fare more sturdy as the Criollo trees, and this reflects on the prize of the coco seeds. Trinitario, hybrid of the Criollo and Forastero seeds, is used to produce the remaining 10% of chocolate.

If the chocolate is not processed to the shape of the bar or to other shapes, it is often formed into various shapes of the figures, for example the rabbit, or an egg as the Easter chocolate, or other shapes on Christmas, St. Nicolaus, or for St. Valentine’s day. Chocolate lips is other favourite shape. Sometimes the chocolate can have the shape of a rose. Chocolate is often used as the main ingredient to an ice cream, cakes, or other deserts.
